Tucked away in a quiet corner of this landscaped residential domaine, the
Casa Lantana is a beautiful four bedroom traditional style stone house with a superb views over the Gulf of Valinco.
The door opens onto the double sized living room which has been arranged as a sitting area at one end, with an
archway through to the dining area. These rooms offer an airy and convivial place to entertain or relax and take
it easy. The sitting room offers two large comfortable sofas which look out over the balcony and the hillside opposite.
The owners have provided a flat screen television and CD player, but most guests prefer to take advantage of the
views from the terraces and balconies surrounding the property. There is a good sized roof terrace where guests
can relax and soak up the sun, and to the side of the sitting room is a further terrace with views over the bay
and the church below. The dining area has been equipped with a large wooden table and chairs than can comfortably
seat eight at table, An archway looks through to the modern kitchen which has been equipped with a ceramic hob,
combination mini-oven and microwave, dishwasher, cafetière and washing machine. The dining area also has
french windows leading onto the balcony that runs the full length of the house.
Casa Lantana is built into the hillside and arranged over two floors, and stairs lead down to the lower level.
There are two bedrooms at the front of the house, each with French doors leading to another balcony. There are
two further bedrooms at the rear, and two good sized shower rooms with washbasin and toilet. All the bedrooms have
double beds, and like the rest of the house, has been decorated in warm, earthy tones to complement the Mediterranean
setting.
Les Hameaux de Propriano is a well thought out residential domaine which lends itself well to holiday homes. There
are four communal swimming pools where guests can mingle and children can make friends, and a full size tennis
court (bring your own rackets).
The main town of Propriano is just a short 15 minute walk away so there is no need to worry about taking the car
if you want to enjoy a glass or two of the excellent local wines with dinner, and one of the superb sandy beaches
is just a little further, but there are lots of secluded coves and picturesque beaches stretching north of the
bay towards Cappiciolo, and south towards Campomoro. Beautiful hills surround the bay and further inland, picturesque
villages nestle amongst the green slopes.
